Just a few thousand pounds outside of maximum, eh? Maybe the trailer
brakes aren't doing as much as they could? If you wanted that combo to work,
I'd be looking into the trailer. My gut feeling (no experience here) is that
weak point is in the trailer brakes. The more they do, the less the 813 has
to hold back. Think about a 10T tractor stopping 90K. Is it really the cab
holding back that weight? I'm thinking it's the trailer brakes.........
By the way guys, what model trailer can hold a car, truck, etc and is
pintle mounted? I wonder this for my deuce (which the stuart would simply
push out of the way on braking) so that I could transport my old Dodge
Charger home. I keep finding semi-trailers and/or 1T, 2T, 3 1/2T cargo
trailers, but nothing that would let me put a car on the deuce. What
"flat-bed" is pintle mounted?
Thanks,
Jim
