When I first had my Stuart, we had a friend with an ex USAF International
tractor unit (uniusual here in uK) which I think was rated at 10 tons but
used to haul either my half track or the Stuart.
Then one day the trailer developed a list to one side and I spent a nervous
3 hours following it in th car , it looked like the tank would tip off -
luckily it got home ok. Probalby the mass of the Stuart was enough for the
trailer.( which was rated at 18 tons I recall) Thereafter I was forced to
use commercial hauliers and it started to get very expensive. So I used to
take the halftrack up on the gooseneck of the trailer and the tank on the
bed. Made me feel better about the money!
Graduating to tanks is a bold step , its different tools, expensive haulage
and many jobs cant be done alone. But it as fun while it lasted.
One thing for sure Georges M5A1 is a lot easier to drive and work on than
the M3A3.

George! You just got it! Are the brakes balanced enough for the rear?
What about some ballast in the M813 to balance it out?
