I mounted mine on the metal part of the left mud flap. Drilled two holes for
the plate's top screw holes; painted the edges to prevent rust. I had an RV
dealer order me an RV lighted license plate bracket, and changed the bulb
out for a 24V. one. I still need to make up a wire using a military wiring
"Y" fitting to put in-line with the left tail light's #21 wire (service tail
lamp - a friend gave me the wire #, I have not yet personally confirmed it
is correct). That way I don't have to cut the truck's wires.
