These three pics show where I mounted mine. non-regulation, but works
well and does not obstruct view as much as you may think.
The large size sugar scoop is turned so that its flat side faces to
the rear of the front of the bumper. A weld at the top and bottom
(edges of sugar scoop to edges of bumper), and there you go. Be sure
to not position the scoop too far forward or the ring of the antenna
base may not fit properly. Little clearance.
