I have my battery boxes out of stainless steel, lined with an
electric battery blanket, then install Optima deep cycle marine
batteries, plus an automatic "top off charger" for when I plug the
truck in to AC.
Remember to drill 4-6 weep holes in the box, and use some kind of
dense closed cell foam to help fill in the open area's, and lock the
batteries down.
If you feel so inspired you can add some heavy duty roller tracks to
each side of the battery box to make it easier to move in and out.
