I have noticed a high pitched metallic 'tapping' sound coming from the
upper rear area of the LTD-465. This can be heard better when under
load, and subsides when coasting. It is more audible in the cab, than
when leaning over the engine.
Could this be an exhaust leak at the exh. manifold or at the gasket
after the turbo where the flex pipe connects to the exhaust pipe? I
would think that a pushrod or lifter would tap equally all the time
regardless of load -just like a car.. Very strange, no real symptoms..
Deuce gonna blow up sir?
