Here's what I do! On the fuel filter there is a valve
at the top. While somebody is cranking the starter,
open that valve to purge air out. Once that is
complete, recharge the batteries. You need batteries
in absolute top shape for this. While cranking the
starter, crack open the metal lines at the injector.
This should get fuel to the injector. Do this on all 8
injectors. Charge batteries, then attempt to start.
Words of warning! DO NOT USE STARTING FLUID!!! The DDA
6.2 is indirect injection and uses glow plugs.
Starting fluid + glow plugs = disaster. If its been
sitting for 3 years I think I would opt to change the
fuel, not try to burn it.
