However, sometimes best laid plans of mice and men --etc----

Many years ago I purchased new a 2 ton Int. truck, one Sat late in afternoon
had a flat long way from home, tire shop twisted 3 of the 5 studs on left
hand side off, with big air wrench, before they discovered they were right
hand, this was rear wheel, front wheel had left hand and was stamped left
hand, can never keep straight what this kind of wheel is called, has spokes
and wheel itself is held on by wedges.

Lots of fun had by all correcting this problem.

When I got home I forced Int. to replace left side hub with correct hub.

Dear Aaron & list,
Normal convention for wheel studs is LEFT HAND thread on the
left side.
RIGHTHAND thread on the right side. SOME vehicles stamp a letter L on the
end of the stud. denoting left hand thread/side. It does NOT matter wether
the vehicle is left or right hand drive.

easy to remember NOEL
