Greg,
What this is, is a truck with the instrument panel for a gas truck that
has the smaller panel opening. and a gas truck instrument panel, with only
the hole for the speedometer. And probably when a diesel engine was
installed they had to add the tach. and did not want to swap out the whole
outer panel. So the tachometer ended up mounted under the panel on a
bracket.
