Dear Jack,
I fear you are the victim of a cruel hoax. Consider your half
shaft as a spring, the longer it is the more it will sag and wind up.The
longer the shaft for a given size the lower the torque it will transmit
before trouble. A trick used in motor racing to see how WOUND UP a
halfshaft was , clean the shaft and paint a thin straight white line along
the shaft, IF later the line looks like a spiral you can judge the windup
and when to change the shaft .
You trusted someone else to design the machine don`t worry about it,
JUST DRIVE IT
NOEL
