Old wives tale on thermostats. If you dont want one, cut the thermostat part
out of the base and reinstall the base. Inadequate time in the radiator can
cause overheating. The thermostat offers a restriction as well as the
opening/closing feature. This couldn't be more true than with a stout small block
chevy. I speak from experience!
