I had a Korean War Veteran stop by last night while I was removing the
Resin 50 Cal from the M114. He worked on the M2s used on B26 bombers, as
I was pulling the pins out he said how in the world did you get a real
M2? I smiled as I handed it to him (acting as if it were actual weight),
when I let go he almost threw it over his head as he was expecting it to
weight 75 lbs or more. He absolutely could not believe it was plastic,
if you don't touch it you can't tell it's not real. The best thing other
than the weight is that it can rain on it and other than a few water
spots it doesn't hurt a thing.

Subject: [MV] Resin .50 Model Kit
George Baker posted on the list my resin .50 project. It was unveiled at
the International MVPA show at Alameda a few weeks ago. In addition to
our resin M3 and M6 breech, which many of you have already seen, the .50
is brand new!
These are model kits that need assembly and paint. VERY realistic as all
parts are made from castings of real .50 parts. It weighs just over 10
lbs.
It is not a toy but for display only. It will give the BEST impression
of a M2 that I have ever seen, other than a real one.
The kits are $795 plus $12 Shipping in the lower 48. I will be selling
extra barrels as many have expressed interest in spares for your
vehicles.
Thanks,
Jon
