Mike

some time with one of the jeep that I drive I prefeer
not to fix this because of when my jeep start to
vibrate all was like it says to me -Hey you are going
to fast, (I like that also in 74 honda motorcycle that
I had some time ago) but in my last 46 I modify the
springs like a MB or GPW so it was very stable and
drivable

First align and balance all the tires, then search for
play in every one of the suspension and steering joins
and I reccomend the use of a steering shock
I solve lot of steering issues in a CJ2A 46 with
adding a steering shock, actually I will add one to my
humvee even when I will replace every part causing
play.
I thing you can buy a kit with the brackets and the
shock, it is an special shock that works horizontally
and you require the same amount of force to move eider
direction, don´t try to use a normal shock like I did
once, my sister always like to drive my jeeps and
complains about steering to hard to return from a
curve, too dangerous...
