Usually USMC vehicles did not have a national symbol (star) and used yellow markings..........however..............
Stars were used on some USMC jeeps and trucks in the Korean War.
Some USMC vehicles have used white registration numbers. I have color photos of M-422 Mighty Mites with white numbers on the hood.
Nearly all USMC vehicles used in the Korean War were WW II built ones so it would not be likely your M-38-A1 would have been used by the Marines during the conflict.
