just to add to my sense of paranoia, I checked through the DRMS site and
found this comment on the FAQ page:-
Q. Can I buy a Humvee?
A. No. The military version of the Humvee does not meet the Department of
Transportation safety standards and is not offered for sale.
I can find no mention of any "trade restriction"- type of agreement between
the Mil and AMG in the DPDO manual.
Again, I would like to ask..... "where is the EVIDENCE for comments about
agreements between the DoD and the HMMWV contractor regarding disposal of
surplus HMMWVs?".
If anyone can point me to the specific document, I will be most grateful....
