While replacing tailgate window regulator I found factory installed felt
type pad inside tailgate right where it seems to be rusting out. It
must be holding moisture against metal. I found with a really long
knife (8 inch) I could get pad loose working at it from both sides to
get it out. Mine came out in 2 pieces. I am hoping this slows rusting.
Anyone know why new rear tailgate window crank would be loose? Center
handle assembly is very loose as if regulator handle doesn't push
against it enough.
