The chain length is 3 feet, exclusive of the hook, thimble, etc. It appears
to be 5/8" chain.
I have one, including hook, that up until now I have not contemplated
selling. Make an offer, if you can't find one in the market.
I just bought a complete cable, chain, hook, swivels, etc for my local FD
that cost $235.00. The whole set-up included 200 feet of stainless steel 6
x 21 half-inch cable, 4 feet of grade 80 chain, 6-ton hook. Labor to swage
the cable onto the thimbles, etc, included. If you are not interested in
originality, but want reliability, I suggest NEW over SURPLUS.
