Current range preparation standards call for all fluids to be removed and
any reflective surface removed or covered. This is for liability reasons as
the reflection from military strength lasers can be a problem beyond the
range safety boundaries. Remember Newton? "The angle of incidence equals the
angle of deflection". The concern is that Joe Hunter 10K off the military
reservation is peering myopically through his rifle scope at Bambi when he
gets a full strength zap up his retina. This is bad for Army P.R.!
Our guidelines for the range prep of military vehicles as hard targets is
remove everything that doesn't affect the basic silhouette or profile of the
vehicle as it appears in the sights of the weapons platform engaging it.
Ubique!!
