I thought it was illegal to own wolves! Maybe that's just in Kalifornia where almost everything is illegal. Are they a mix, like part wolf/part husky?
This may not sound like a MV topic, but in WWII the US trained and armed Alaskans hoping they could be an early warning for a Japanese land invasion. They did ended up being called upon, and did better than expected. The Alaskans used dog sleds, and needed something to pull them. But, I don't think those dogs and sleds ever hit the surplus market.
