So, if I spray dielectric spray in my old starters., then I can sell them as
rebuilt???
Rebuilt at least connotates checked, and repaired to a functional state, not
just flushed in the case of a radiator. This would include, at a minimum,
pressure testing for leaks, etc. Perhaps this vendor does exactly that, and
sells their products accordingly. I do not know, having not personally dealt
with them, but if I plunk down the $ for a rebuilt part, I am making a
purchase based on the fact that it is a functional item, not something from
the boneyard that I could have flushed my self. The price difference is to
compensate for my having bought a junker and done the work myself, and the
risk that is inherent with this method. Just my own perspective. Best wishes
to all involved.

item is 'rebuilt' it is only repaired. That is to say that only was was
broken, damaged, non-functioning is repaired. 'Remanufactured' on the other
hand is when all components that can fail are replaced. Here's a simple
example, the difference between a rebuilt and reman'd starter is a rebuilt
is only repaired from what was wrong and keeping the unit from functioning.
Rebuilt starters on the other hand start with only the 'core' and all
brushes, windings, etc are replaced...whether they need it or not. Now, in
the example of the radiator, a 'rebuilt' radiator could involve only
cleaning...if what was wrong with it was plugged, etc. On the other hand,
an 'remanufactured' or 'RECORED' radiator would have been disassembled,
tanks cleaned and the core replaced.

lead you to believe that they're 'rebuilt' units are 'as good as new,' etc.
However, I refuse to sell any products that are not reman'd.
