This is not unlike any number of Mine resistant vehicles from South
Africa. Look at all of their vehicles, they're wheeled, armored and
designed to deal with anti-tank mines well. You loose the wheel
station, but the wheels are designed to shear off and new ones be
re-attached in something like an hour or less of work.
