They could start making field expedient Mine resistant 2.5 tons and 5
tons if they took some experience of the South Africans. Problem is
the US Army doesn't like taking the good advice from small nations.

Sand bags in the floor help. So do better seats for the people in the
vehicle. Support the back better and you have less shock damage.
