Thats easy. The M5XXX are M39 series vehicles. The -A1 trucks have the Mack
ENDT-673 and the -A2 series have the LDS465-1A multifuel engines. The M8XX
series trucks feature the naturally aspirated NHC250 Cummins diesel engines. The
M8XX series have an extended nose to house the extra length of the big 855 CID
Cummins. I know you weren't interested but the 900 series have the wider cab,
tilt nose NHC250 Cummins and a juice (automatic) transmissions.
