1986 Chrevrolet Blazer M1009 CUCV, 93000 miles
This truck is mechanically solid and has zero rust, no bondo anywhere.
Originally painted desert tan, I removed all hardware (bumpers, pintle,
antenna brackets, shackles, interior trim, all other exterior pieces),
sandblasted all exterior pieces, and repainted in Gillespie Coatings paint
using the NATO 3-color scheme patterned from the TM. Front seats are
original and in good shape, and are also covered with the original military
canvas seat covers. Rear seat also in good shape and have a brand new
replacement vinyl cover for it. All seatblets in great shape. Passenger
side
radio rack is installed. Driver side rack was installed and is now removed
for
more room in rear. Both side antenna brackets with brush guards are
installed with
new MX-6707 antenna tuners and AS-1729 antennas. Blackout lights are
functional.
Rifle mounts installed as well as chemical decon kit and fire extinguisher.
Spare tire
mounted on original bracket, and jack and jack handle are installed.
Interior in great
shape. I installed a rubber floor mat in front and back. Also installed
original GM sound deadener under hood to quiet the engine noise. Jerry can
and correct holder installed in rear compartment. Currently no radios are
installed but can be at additional cost. Frame has been painted with
black epoxy paint where desert tan had been sprayed. Also included are many
spare parts (see below).
8 new glow plugs have been installed. New hoses and belts and filters.
Engine and engine compartment, and underside are thoroughly cleaned and very
nice looking.
