I politely send corrections all the time and certainly accept them, but
sometimes my experiences with stuff just varied with those of others, so
"correct" and "incorrect" become harder to assign. In terms of accepting
corrections and suggestions and the like, it's really only when people start
sentences with things like "You don't know what you're talking about!" that
I tend to dismiss whatever follows as not worth my time.
(and I'm not talking about anyone on this list with that example - just life
in general)
