GM, Ford, and Dodge all used the 8 on 6.5" spacing with different sized
lugs. The center hole on the HMMWV rims is too small for the Ford hubs, at
least on the Ford Dana 60 it is, not sure about the other fronts. A guy I
know runs HMMWV rims on his and he turned the hubs down at a machine shop to
fit. Some folks have tried to hog out the center hole too, but that doesn't
work as well. The biggest problem is the backspacing, it's 7.5" to clear
the big ol' gear reduction hubs on the HMMWV. That makes things interfere
with springs, shocks, frame, body, etc... Lots of folks are running a
2-2.5" spacer to push the wheels out, or cutting the wheel centers and
resetting the backspacing for their application. Hope this helps. There's
a set for sale here:

Does anyone know offhand whether the 8 lug 16.5" HMMWV wheels will fit
pre-1999 Dodge or Ford truck axles (3/4 ton)? The Dodge has a bigger
center hole than either Chevy or civi H1 (I think), and the Ford is even
bigger. How about a weight rating on the wheel? Width and offset? And
lastly, who might have any to sell?
Thanks in advance & have a great day today!
