Maybe the water rails are cracked where they bolt up? Or the ends
(where the bolts go through) were bent down last time. This is usually
due to someone not cleaning off all the old gasket material. Then they
tightened the ends down and warped them. Then you came along and
reamoved all the old gasket material and left a big gap in the middle.
Place a straight edge across the mounting surfaces and check. If you
can see light in the middle. Take a big flat file and draw file it
level.

Hey have any of you Rhodes Scholars had problems with coolant
peeing out of the water jackets at the head on the deuce multifuel? Ever
since I rebuilt the engine, coolant leaks
from where the water jack bolts to the head, whenever the temperature
changes. Torque setting is only 25, and
correct gasket is in place. Permatex?
Ideas? Thanks
Kerry and BIg Mike
