Compete! Compete!!
I'm just mad at myself for starting another project I didn't have time for.
<g> My forums will be for all sorts of topics: whomever wants a home ( used
to run a 2 node BBS years ago and miss that camaraderie ). Actually I
don't think the size of this list would survive going to more than one
forum ( unless each little forum brought in 5 dozen new MV'ers ) and so
have put my forum off in part claiming I didn't want to help to break the
group apart. The wealth of knowledge present here is almost as broad as
that of the political opinions.
If you, gentle lister, have not tried a forum it IS much better. However
it is also a PITA if you don't know what to click, how to sign in/up/on,
etc. If there is some interest in a forum, and one is favored by listers,
I would suggest someone ( happy to do it ) write out a step by step on how
to sign up, then perhaps how to interact. MANY forums, like web sites,
assume those signing in are geeks. I can only name half a dozen geeks on
this list, so believe such instructions might be welcome by the normal
MV'ers out there ( can I use Normal and MV in the same sentence?? )
