I can tell you my experience for what its worth. I had a Ser IIa Land Rover
with 4 cycl engine. I drove it about 80 miles round trip to work every day
with no additive. I burned a big hole in the #4 exhaust valve. Not sure if
it was from not using leaded gas or an additive but the key hole shaped
damage to the valve looks like it started at the end , probably from a
burned seat.

Can someone post the web site for the lead additive?
