No, The links in the HTML code on the page are incorrectly presented
for some browsers.

In netscape the targets appear with a backslash before the sub page
rather than a forward slash. This results in a 404 (not found) error.

I use netscape with java and cookies off, so as to avoid various BS
running on my machine. Blindly surfing the web with java and cookies
on is like walking around in prison with your pants down.

The page is gibbled-up with all kinds of unnecessary code as far as
what you need for a table. It is probably necessary however as a
method of tracking your movement on the site, or dealing with your
shopping cart, ("Using zero-latency-enterprise (ZLE (tm)) technology
to present the consumer with a more pleasant experience targeted to
their individual interests") who knows. OK maybe it's not so sinister.
It's a good page, just use IE to view it.

Such pages are usually made by software that generates HTML and entire
websites instead of actually having people write it which can be time
consuming. It's a trade-off, sometimes the generated pages look a
little better or have better automation, but they are often convoluted
(from a browser standpoint) and require alot of extra code, thereby
not working well with all browsers. There is supposedly a standard for
HTML, but microsoft and some others have chosen to add in some extra
'kibble-n-bits' to 'increase' browser functionality, at the expense of
compliance. This goes hand-in-hand with some page-generating software
adding 'gibble' in order to take advantage of the extra features,
sometimes at the expense of those using browsers other that the
'target platform'.

The end result is that many customers won't see the sellers' product
when they click on the link! It doesn't mean I won't do business with
them, only that some people might not see the products properly.

My message said that the links need to be fixed, but some users may
not have an issue if they use IE or a different version of browser
than what I use.

I should have said,
"you may have to fix their links".

As far as the issue, here's the exact thing I am referring to. one
line says
"<a href="051402/P5140004.jpg" target="_blank">"
and another says
"<a href="051402\P5140004.jpg" target="_blank">".
There is a huge difference betwen forwardslash and backslash, and here
it is in a row of the table on the subpage
"http://www.sprucemtsurplus.com/LinkPages/Electrical.html":

======================
<td height=17 class=xl2517192 x:num width="105">

<a href="051402/P5140004.jpg" target="_blank">

<img src="051402/P5140004sm.jpg" target="_blank" width="80"
height="55" border="2">

</a>

</td>

<td class=xl248434 width=12 x:num>

<font face="Times New Roman" color="#000000">

</font>

</td>

<td class=xl2428848 width=132>

</td>

<td class=xl2628848 width=369>

<a href="051402\P5140004.jpg" target="_blank">

332-204-150. 2 ea. For aux lights and such. NOS (new old stock).

</a>

</td>

=========================

I hope this explaind my remark. It's only my opinion after all.

MV content = "my web pages dealing with MVs are all written by hand
without the need for java, cookies, or specific browsers".
