Actually, it'd be easier to convert the trailer's
wiring to 24 volt. 12 volt wiring of the same
amperage would carry more current and be of a
higher gauge. 24 volt doesn't require the larger
gauge wire. Assuming there aren't some special
electrical components in the trailer other than
bulbs, then you'd just have to swap out the bulbs
for 24 volt units and build an adaptor for the
plug.
