smoke generators

I've played with the smoke generators a lot and the most cost effective
stuff I've found to generate smoke is off-road diesel fuel. Since the pumps
are very sensitive to dirt and contaminants, used oils, unless heavily
filtered, are out. Even here in the heart of peanut country, peanut oil is
too expensive, as are every other kind of crop oil I've checked out. Off
road diesel doesn't have all the taxes on it that the highway stuff does, is
pretty reasonably priced, and is a very effective smoke generator. It is
also used by the city in their mosquito generators, so it must be fairly
safe.
The M3A4s DO generate a LOT of smoke. We had a visit from the cops
from the town 2 miles downwind come out to the field we were "smokin' " one
night. They told us we HAD to stop!!! Evidently, the smoke in town was so
thick you couldn't see across the street. : )))
They smoke generators are one of the most fun toys I've played with in a
while. Oh.... shameless plug. I also sell them, in case anybody "needs"
one.
