That sounds like the gasket from the oil filter housing to the block. I
changed mine a few weeks ago and it still leaks a little. Gaskets are
only $2.75 from Memphis, so buy two and get to work. It's a real pain
because the bolts are all over the place in hard to reach places, but
doable in an afternoon. There's one odd bolt in the middle that's about
5" long through the housing, so don't forget it before you go crazy on
it. Don't forget to drain the coolant first, because there's coolant
and oil in that housing.

When the weather breaks, I'm going to do it all over again with 2
gaskets, and some silicone, just to be sure this time. The brown tack
stuff and single gasket wasn't good enough. (Yes, I cleaned it with a
wire wheel on a die grinder).

When i came back out i saw a puddle of green and black on the ground underneath the engine. I shut it off and opened the hood. The drivers side of the engine is covered with mostly oil and some antifreeze. It was leaking from either the oil filter (farthest back) or behind it. I checked the oil on the dipstick and peered into the valve cover and didn't see any signs of antifreeze in there yet. Did i blow a head gasket? Or is it something else. Thanks, Kirk/Topguns
