Bob, ya gotta pull it as a unit. Your only other choice would be to leave the
bellhousing and trans hang in the truck and support the back of the trans.
Installation would be unfun since lining it up in the truck is not always easy.
Once the powerpack is on the ground you can easily pull the trans from the
engine. Are you repairing or replacing the engine?
