I know the detroit locker subject has come up before, but I hope to
hear from anyone who has experience with them in their M35 or 5 ton truck.
I am considering installing detroit lockers in the rear axles of my
M35. Has anyone done this? especially to both rear axles?(Kenny?)
I checked out the site posted earlier that would supposedly supply
air locking differentials, but their site still says they may be available
in the future.
I have seen photos of the Norway air locking axles, and the axle
housings themselves are different. So this seams to be a difficult
modification. I have not yet heard of lockout hubs available for the rear
axles. (Arthur?) Or of a joint that could be disengaged in the rear
interaxle shaft?
So, to maintain good all around usability. What would someone who
knows about Detroit Lockers recommend? Lockers in both or only one rear
axle?
Thanks,
Bill
