1955 F-Head 6 volt ??? CJ ???

Does anyone know if a 1955 Jeep CJ was 6 volt ???

I am going to look at a 1955 F-Head Engine Jeep. The owner said it was 6
volt. That does not compute, even for a conversion. It supposedly has a
data plate so I will find out for sure, what it is.
