the same flashing white lights are displayed on rural postal delivery (some)
vehicles here
and I remember reading some where that white lights were not to be visible
from the rear (except of course back up lights) - I suppose if back up
lights were showing while in reverse they technically would be visible from
what would now be front???

For what is worth, clear or white xenon lites as used on top of school
busses for years in FL and now in NJ are not covered in the book of "rules".
I would simply defer to "white" pulsed and get the same if not better
effect.
