24087 is the correct colour for that period, though jeez there's a lot of
variation between vehicles supposedly using such a 'standard' colour. I'm
not talking pictures - but the individual vehicles themselves.

The GMC M-135 vehicles that were manufactured by GM Canada had a strange
colour paint from the factory. Most times you catch a glimpse of it on the
backside of the glove-box doors or similar places where a respray would be
unlikely, and I often wondered what the colour actually was. I see people
here have suggested "late WWII O.D." without specifying a number, but I'm
quite familiar with 34087 and 319 and in my opinion the GMC original colour
is neither (even accouting for aging/fading.) <shrug>

Either way, "in-service" they would've been 24087 on the U.S. side, where
Canada seems to have used a slightly different take on 24087 for its own
vehicle fleet before the awful Tri Forces Green and paint-with-a-broom three
colour camo. I've never found an FS-595a number which corresponds to the
Canuck colour, but *did* find that Ditzler paints used to have "Canadian
Army Khaki Green" listed in the books, and it was perfect! Naturally they
"don't make the base" anymore and no longer have the colour listing or
anything remotely like it, but once upon a time my M37 wore three coats of
it proudly.
