In the process of titling and registering the M16 as both an antique and
military vehicle. Louisiana has a special titling law for antique military
vehicles whereby the military vehicle numbers stenciled on the rear bumper
become the license "plate" for purposes of putting the vehicle on the road.
This requires a state trooper's physical inspection of the vehicle prior to
obtaining title and registration, but it is relatively inexpensive ($25 fee
for the title and registration) and it never expires, and transfers to the
new owner with the vehicle for a $3 fee.

If it's registered as a "Historical Vehicle"... You'd have an easier time
getting "Classic Car" insurance

Anybody know where a decent Stearman (plane) can be found for sale?
What about good antique military vehicle insurance for a restored M16
Halftrack?
