deuce parking brake

Hi all, enough snow has melted to let me get back to work on the deuce (1970
m35a2 turbo multifuel.) Back in the fall I posted about a parking brake
cable. Turned out that the parking brake assembly was seized- that's as far
as I got when the snow started to fall. Tonight I rolled back underneath and
removed the PB shoe/lever assembly, which does seem frozen at the pivot
pins. I'm letting the penetrating oil sink in until the weekend. Cable seems
pretty stiff, so I will probably replace that, too.

My question is about the drum itself. The outside is very rusted, old rust
with deep pits. The inside is much cleaner, much less rust, but the contact
pattern indicates an oblong shape.

Can/should this drum be cut? Or replaced? Or just sanded and reused? If
replacement is necessary, what is a good source and approximate cost?

Thanks again and God bless! Gene
