Hi Fellas ,
If a gasket should be there , it should be there , BUT of
the right thickness ! the easiest way is to tap it out using a 1/2Lb
ballpein hammer . Silicone is all very well but it can get into oilways ,
valves Etc and cause untold problems . Every workshop should have a few
assorted thicknesses of gasket paper handy .
