I have the -10s (and the -20s and the -30s and
everything else) in PDF format for the
Army/Airforce trucks. The Marine Truck's manuals
aren't online as far as I've found. The problem
is they don't explain things in sufficient
detail. Exactly what the shifting procedure is.
They're far less detailed than the British
Manuals I have for the Ferret because they have
to explain every bloody mundane task with
precision and yet obfuscate it in the same time.
The amount of space used on the process of pull
starting a truck is surprising. Yet they don't
explain shifting in the case of the transfer box.
Specifically because it doesn't precisely explain
that procedure as I've been able to find. There
isn't a description of the inner workings of the
vehicle from a theoretical standpoint that I'd
like to have. For example, "the transfer gear
box is a two ratio power unit with manual
shifting and syncro mesh gears allowing the
driver to select a high and low range of gears
modifying the output of the 5 speed transmission.
The British Ferret and Dingo manuals I have take
the time to explain the transmission to some
detail and explain very specific do's and don'ts.
