Glenn,

The previous owner of my M35A2C had been using his (my) truck to pull gooseneck trailers out of the mud.  He built a platform(?) that bolted between the two bumperettes.  It had a standard ball attached to the platform, and a hacked up receiver hitch welded under the platform.  It was nice, because I could just un-bolt it and nothing was messed up on the truck.  Let me know if you have more questions.
