Bjorn, There is a thing called a Speedy Stitcher, a small hand stitcher
that probably made favor with horsemen years ago to stitch up harness
leather that would work for field repairs on canvas. I found mine at
Bailey Leather Co. in Columbus, Ohio. They supplied leather for shoe
repair businesses. It was inexpensive. Fred Martin
