I haven't done that, but I've used a polyurethane two part compound to pour
an isolation layer around a mercedes tranny mount, which wound up being
transplanted into a landcruiser. It lasted a couple of years, and then tore
out. As far as the poly goes, not worth it. Took hours to clean off the
original rubber and make a mold.
Come to think of it, does an '86 isuzu with the 4ZD1 engine use the same
mounts? I might have them knocking around here.....used, but workable.
