Total production of the Model HD-10 Crawler was 10,197. They were produced between 1940 and 1950. 1,760 HD-10W (74inch track gauge) were used by the military carrying the nomenclature "Heavy Tractor M1". These were painted OD. Original color was Persian Orange or yellow.
To summarize: HD-10W could be a military model. HD-10 most likely not.
Hope this helps,

Subject: [MV] Allis Chalmers (AC) HD-10 crawlers
Hey,
Does anyone know if the military had any Allis Chalmers HD-10 crawlers?
If so, can I get someone to send me a link to pictures or send me
pictures? I found 2 here in CA. One looks like it was painted OD, then
an IH red color on top. I can't find any data plates other than the
shift pattern. The guy that owns them thinks they are in the 50-60's.
I think they are 40-50's. They have a GMC 4-71 engine.
Thanks,
John Souza
