There is some confusion here......
May 19, 1986............Ronald Regan......signed a piece of legislation that
was tacked onto another bill in the late of night and was voice voted and
passed...some say it is clear that if you listen to the audio of the voice
vote, it is clear that it DID NOT PASS..........It effectively banned the
NEW manufacture of Transferable Machine Guns in the US. Transferable
meaning, available to the public.
Changed the status of imported MGs after that date to Post 1986 Dealer
Samples, guns that dealers could possess for Police demos but could not keep
should they not renew their Federal Firearms License.
