David, a lot of those axles were made by Clark,
who was bought out by Volvo, who...heck, I don't
know WHO owns 'em now! <grin>

Anyway, if you can get a parts book, it should ID the
mfg. for you (if it wasn't Hyster themselves), and you
could scan the boneyards for a similar Clark axle. They
were used under lotsa stuff...from Michigan loaders
to Austin roadgraders, to aircraft-tugs.

Hyster may well have made it themselves. They're famous
for the huge winches on the back of Cats...so they certainly
had the in-house foundry and gear skills necessary to make
axles...
