Better known as the 7th Special Forces Group, they are still known as the
7th SFG(A) or 7th SFG (ABN).
SFGA is probably still part of their bumper numbers, is it is on you M38.
If you could visit them, I bet you could take a gander at the current B-12,
likely a HMMWV?
I think they are currently stationed in Afghanistan.
here is a link to a unit history on the web
http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/agency/army/7sfg.htm
and another

nice little piece of history you have there =)

Subject: [MV] M38 Markings
Doc and Lee,
I want to thank you two for all of your help. It's people like you that make
our lists such a success. I am going to use the 3-7 SFGA markings since they
are more complete. The 82nd markings unfortunately fell victim to my
overzealous sanding and all that was left was the 82. I hope that when I am
done my M38 will do justice to a great unit. Can either of you recommend any
books, etc. about the SFGA?
Thanks again for your help.
