Interesting topic.
If the CDL is the problem go get one. Find someone
with a truck or a driving school and do it. I would
think that would be easier than taking a rear axle
off. With that said, i'd go with the M35 for the
first one. When I was in the market there was a M54
for the same price and in better shape. I chose the
M35 because I didn't want to go overkill. (that's a
funny statement) Knowing what I know now and since I
have the shop equipment and tools if a 5 ton came
along I might buy it. That 14' bed would be nice.
I'd go with the Mack 673 turbo too. I drove one and
it beat the hell out of the LDS multifuel.
Good luck and if you can't decide, buy both.
